If a player’s or banker’s hand is a natural, the game is over and the player or banker is paid their wager.
Some people choose to bet on both the player and the banker, a bet known as “player-banker”. This is called a combination bet, because each bet has a different house edge. This is because players who predict that the banker’s hand will win will pay a 1 to 1 payout, while those who bet on the player will pay a 5 percent commission.
While the player and banker hands have a low house advantage, a tie bet has a much higher house edge. This bet has an average house edge of 14.1%.
